Parrotfish Concert Live at Off Broadway | St. Louis
Off Broadway has long been a hub for bold, boundary-pushing theater that often feels more raw and real than mainstream productions. Take the 1985 staging of The Normal Heart, which shook up the scene and brought much-needed awareness to the AIDS crisis through powerful storytelling, an unforgettable moment in the Off Broadway world. Over the years, venues like Alternative Stage have become known for their daring reinterpretations of classics, like the clever and lively 2014 version of Much Ado About Nothing that brought fresh energy to Shakespeare’s work. Then there’s Avenue Q, which hit Off Broadway in the early 2000s and mixed puppetry, comedy, and social commentary in a way that made audiences both laugh and think. Now, if you’re heading to Parrotfish St. Louis for a show, you can expect the same spirit of innovation. Whether you opt for the luxurious box seats with their intimate vibe or prefer balcony tickets for a higher perspective, the experience is always unique. And hey, if you’re biking over, there’s a dock nearby, cross the street, turn right onto Main Boulevard, and you’re almost there. Off Broadway isn’t just about the shows, it’s about feeling like you’re part of something a little different, a little more daring, and honestly, a lot more fun.
